Ticia Cheniston

Just before Christmas we lost a very supportive Parish Councillor. Ticia joined the Parish Council the same evening that I did in 2015. Ticia lived in Bridges Close and was a well-known village character. She had known St Nicholas since the 1950s when she visited from Margate as a child.

Ticia was very fond of animals and would often comment on animal welfare. There is no doubting that Ticia could be difficult at times, particularly when she disagreed with your version of events. However, she cared deeply and wanted the best from our Parish Council. She was always supportive of positive actions that The Parish Council took.

Ticia often had difficulty with her breathing and died of a COVID-19 related problem. We will miss her quirky ways.
