(PROHIBITION OF DRIVING)
TEMPORARY ORDER 2020
To allow works to be carried out to provide a new gas supply, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of The Street, St Nicholas at Wade in the Thanet area.
A closure is now planned from Monday 26 October 2020, with estimated completion by 30 October 2020.
The Street will be closed in the general vicinity of The Bell Inn, to the extent indicated on site.
The alternative routes for through traffic are:
Eastbound via Court Road, Potten Street Road, Chambers Wall, A299 Thanet Way, St Nicholas Roundabout, A28 Canterbury Road and The Length
Westbound via The Length, A28 Canterbury Road, A299 St Nicholas Roundabout, Thanet Way, Wantsum Way and Court Road
Local access to the remainder of The Street continues from either direction up to where the road is actually closed.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to re-open the road outside the working hours.
